"Emerald Isle" Series
This series was inspired by a trip I took to Ireland earlier this year with my husband to celebrate our 10 years together. The beauty of the lush landscapes in Ireland cannot be captured by image alone with the vibrant contrasts of colors and scenery. I was mesmerized by every area we visited for there was always a hidden spot tucked away where the shoreline met land perfectly, the brush swayed in the breeze, the greens popped in hue against the stone walls of historic architecture or nearby flora...
There is a certain peace to the landscape and with this series, I strive to embrace this tranquility and depict the ebb and flow of life via glaze reactions/melting into one another, meanwhile highlighting the vibrant blues, greens, and magical "shimmers" to be found when experiencing a new area of the world for the first time and the curiosity and inspiration that follows!

Experimental Works in Progress
These sculptural works are completely one-of-a-kind and allow me to branch out using mixed media to achieve vibrant hues and contrast of materials, creating a more surreal version of my current sculptural works. Many of these forms embrace the beauty and texture found underwater within ocean life, the sea floor, and all of the curiosities and fascinations to be found therein!
